Trip Tags
The best itinerary in the world is useless if the right people never find it. Trip tags are how your trips surface in Rooutie’s explore pages, destination filters, and topic collections — connecting your content with travellers who are actively looking for exactly what you’ve created. A well-tagged trip appears in the right searches. A poorly-tagged trip gets lost. How to Add Tags
- Open your trip in the editor.
- Click the ⋯ (three dots) next to the trip title to open the Trip Menu.
- Select Manage Tags.
- Choose tags from the categories below.
- Click Save.
Tags are available to publishers and agents only. Standard users can view tags but cannot edit them.

How Tags Work for Discovery
Your tags are actively used across the platform:- Explore Page Filtering — travellers filter the main explore map and listings by tag.
- Country & City Pages — trips are surfaced by tag on destination pages.
- Topic Pages — each interest tag has a dedicated page (e.g.,
/topics/hiking) showing all matching trips from all publishers. - Recommended Trips — tags influence which trips appear as recommendations alongside similar content.
Pro Tip: Use multiple tags across categories — a trip can be both “Luxury” and “Hiking & Trekking” and will appear in both topic filters. The more accurate your tags, the better quality traffic you get.
