Accommodation Planner

Rooutie automatically analyses where you are sleeping each night based on the accommodation steps in your itinerary and surfaces useful information about check-ins, check-outs, and gaps in your accommodation plan.

How It Works

Whenever you add an accommodation step (hotel, apartment, hostel, etc.) to your itinerary, Rooutie’s accommodation planner analyses the entire trip to determine:
  • Where you wake up each morning — the accommodation from the night before.
  • Where you are staying each night — the accommodation you check in to.
  • Gaps — nights where no accommodation is set.
This analysis is visible in the itinerary view on each day header, so you always know your accommodation situation at a glance without scrolling through the whole trip.

Adding Accommodation

  1. Click the + Add button on any day.
  2. Choose Search and filter by type, or paste a Booking.com URL to import the property directly.
  3. Alternatively, use the accommodation booking modal to search and attach booking details.
You can add accommodation details including:
  • Check-in and check-out dates and times.
  • Booking confirmation number.
  • Booking URL for easy reference.
  • Custom notes.

Per-Day Accommodation Info

On each day in the itinerary you will see:

Wake Up

The accommodation where you are waking up (i.e., where you stayed the previous night). Shown at the top of the day with the property name and directions link.

Stay Overnight

The accommodation you are checking in to for the night. Shown at the bottom of the day.

Accommodation Directions

A quick Directions link opens Google Maps to navigate to the accommodation from your current location or the last step of the day.

Suggested Stays

If there is no accommodation set for a particular night, Rooutie shows Suggested Stay cards for that day. These are recommended hotels or properties near the activities in your itinerary. Tap a suggestion to search for it or add it to your trip.

Issues & Alerts

The accommodation planner detects common problems and shows an Issues alert when:
  • A night has no accommodation set.
  • There is a gap between check-out and check-in on the same day.
  • Accommodation dates don’t align with the trip days.
Click the issues alert to see a detailed summary of all accommodation conflicts.

Managing Accommodation

To edit an existing accommodation step:
  1. Click the three dots (⋯) on the accommodation step.
  2. Select Edit Info & Notes to change details.
  3. Select Booking to update booking status and confirmation code.
