Suppliers
Your supplier relationships are a core business asset. Rooutie’s Suppliers section gives you a centralised database for every hotel, tour operator, restaurant, transport provider, and business partner you work with — complete with commission rates, contact information, and direct links to the steps in your client itineraries. What’s in a Supplier Profile
Each supplier entry contains:- Business name and type (hotel, activity operator, restaurant, transport, etc.).
- Contact details — key contacts, phone numbers, email addresses.
- Location — where the supplier operates.
- Commission structure:
- Flat commission — a fixed amount per booking.
- Percentage commission — a percentage of the step cost.
- Net rate — the rate the supplier charges you, from which you apply your own markup.
- Contract terms — notes on your agreement, payment terms, cancellation policies.
- Notes — anything else worth recording (preferred contact, booking lead time, special conditions).
Adding a Supplier
- Go to Suppliers in the agent sidebar.
- Click “Add Supplier”.
- Fill in their details and commission structure.
- Save.
Linking Suppliers to Trip Steps
When building a client itinerary, you can link any step to a supplier in your database:- Open a step in the trip editor.
- Select the supplier from your list.
- The commission rate is applied automatically to the step cost.
Why Centralising Suppliers Matters
Without a system, supplier relationships live in email threads, spreadsheets, and your head. Commission rates get forgotten. Contacts change and you’re not sure who to call. Rooutie’s supplier database solves all of this:- Never forget a commission rate — it’s on the supplier record.
- Quick lookup during proposals — find the right supplier in seconds while building an itinerary.
- Accurate margin tracking — linked costs calculate your commission automatically.
- Team access — everyone on your team works from the same supplier database.
