# Travel Groups

Group travel is one of the most complex things to coordinate in the travel industry — different travellers, shared itineraries, group communication, and the logistics of keeping everyone informed. Rooutie's Travel Groups give you dedicated tools to manage it all without losing your mind.

## What is a Travel Group?

A Travel Group is a collection of clients travelling together on a shared itinerary. Groups have their own dedicated workspace that brings together:

* The group's client list.
* The shared trip or itinerary.
* Group-level communication.
* Individual traveller details (documents, dietary needs, preferences) all in one place.

## Creating a Travel Group

1. Go to **Travel Groups** in the agent sidebar.
2. Click **"New Group"**.
3. Give the group a name (e.g., "Müller Family Safari 2026" or "Wine Tour Group — March").
4. Add clients from your CRM to the group.
5. Attach the trip or itinerary you're building for them.

## Managing a Group

From the group workspace you can:

* **View all travellers** — see every client in the group and access their individual profiles.
* **Track individual details** — passport expiry, dietary restrictions, seat preferences — all visible per person without switching between profiles.
* **Communicate with the group** — send updates and messages to all group members at once.
* **Manage the shared itinerary** — the attached trip is the single source of truth for the group.

## Group Communication

Send messages and updates to everyone in the group simultaneously. No more sending 12 individual emails when a departure time changes — one update, everyone informed.

## Why Groups Matter for Your Business

Group travel represents some of the highest-value bookings in the industry. A well-organised group experience leads to referrals, repeat business, and the kind of client loyalty that sustains an agency. Having dedicated tools for it — rather than jury-rigging spreadsheets and email threads — makes a real difference.
